Coach Lambert and the Bauxite Lady Miners defeated Arkadelphia the past 2 game by scores of 56-44 at home last Friday and 54-39 Tuesday in the 4A-7 district tournament. Freshmen Dai'kierra Strong lead the Lady Miners with a career high 21pts Tuesday night. Bauxite will play the 2 seed Fountain Lake at Ashdown in the semi-finals Thursday evening at 7:00. The Lady Cobras have defeated Bauxite twice this year in close games including a double OT loss in Hot Springs last month. Bauxite has qualified for Regionals that are set to be play next week in Dumas.
