Bauxite Schools Covid-19 Continuity of Services, ESSER Plan, And Public Input Tool

Current Guidancehttps://dese.ade.arkansas.gov/...

This guidance was last updated for school districts at the end of the 2020-2021 school year. When guidance for the 2021-2022 school year is provided by the Arkansas Department of Health, the district will post it.

Safety Precautions:

  • The district will continue disinfecting and cleaning, handwashing, and physical distancing to the extent practical. In the Spring of 2021, masks became optional for Bauxite students and staff. For the 21-22 school year, the legislature has enacted laws preventing schools from requiring masks, so masks will continue to be optional for students and staff.

VIRTUAL LEARNING:

Bauxite Schools believes onsite instruction offers the best educational outcomes for students, and as such, the district will have very limited virtual options for students in 21-22. Students who will be virtual must have applied and have been approved to be virtual in the Spring of 2021. All students who did not apply and receive approval to be virtual will be 100% onsite in 2021-2022. Attendance and truancy will be recorded and reported as they were prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
