Pie a Teacher in the Face. During lunch each day, you can vote for the teacher you would like to see get pied in the face by placing quarters or dollars in their container. Containers will be located on the stage. The grade with the most class color worn, will get to pie the teacher in the face on Friday.
BMS Field Day is this Friday, May 15th. 6th grade will go from 7:40 am - 9:00 am. 8th grade will be from 9:00 am - 10:20 am. 7th grade will be from 10:20 am - 11:39 am. Students will have a variety of games to play outside in the courtyard area and in the cafeteria. Bring money for the concession stand. Please follow the dress code.

For students who will be presented with an award at the Awards Assembly, May 19th, a postcard will be mailed to your parent or guardian with more information.
Coach Calipari Satellite Camp. Five boys and five girls entering 7th or 8th grade next school year at Bauxite will be chosen to attend Coach Calipari’s Satellite Camp free of charge. Camp is June 6th at the Boys and Girls Club of Saline County from 9:00-12:00. If you are interested in being a candidate for this amazing opportunity email Coach Elmore at elmorek@bauxiteminers.org. The deadline to enter for drawing is May 12th at 12:00 pm. Names will be drawn live on the Bauxite Sports Network Page.
8th Grade Golf Tryouts are May 18th at Eagle Hill Golf Course. There is a link to sign up in your Advisory Google Classroom. If you have any questions, contact Coach Rednour.
Baseball Tryouts for the 2026-2027 season will be Thursday, May 21st at 4:00 pm. A current physical is required to participate in tryouts. Complete the form in Google Classroom to ensure your spot in tryouts. Email Coach Mattox for more information. This is for upcoming 9th graders.
Softball tryouts for upcoming 9th graders will be Tuesday, May 19th, and Wednesday, May 20th, from 4:15 pm - 6:00 pm. Fill out the form in Google Classroom if interested. Must have a current physical to try out.
Jr. High Cross Country signup form is in the Google Classroom for upcoming 8th and 9th graders.
Yearbooks will be distributed Friday May 15th. If you have not ordered one and would like to, you can reserve one through Jostens.com or contact Mrs. Ellington.
All library books are due by May 14th. You can return your books to the library or in the return box in your literacy teacher’s room.
Chromebooks and chargers due May 15th.
