Bauxite is continuing AMI assignments through May 15. We will be continually updating grades for the 4th 9 weeks and ending the school year on May 22. We are taking up Chromebooks, distributing yearbooks, settling fines, and returning library books the week of May 18-22.

Bauxite students, the governor is closing all Arkansas schools until at least April 17, including all activities. We will be in touch regarding AMI work and grab and go meals. Stay safe and healthy, Miners! We love all of our students and can't wait to see you again!
BX staff, school is out until at least Apr 17; all activities are cancelled. We are developing guidance about preparing additional AMI work. Classified staff need to make sure via their supervisor they know what they are supposed to do for AMI attendance. Check emails later!

Bauxite Families, we are closing at the end of the school day and will return March 30. This includes all Saline Co. schools. The state is closing schools in selected counties. The health department is supposed to hold a press conference at 1:45. These will be AMI days.

Bauxite Bus 51 had an accident on Mars Hill Road. No serious injuries. Another bus is transporting students home. More info will be shared as soon as it is available.
Bauxite will dismiss at 1 p.m. on Fri. Nov. 16 due to transportation and supervision issues related to the Nashville game.
We have an ambulance at Pine Haven for a medical issue with a parent. All students and staff members are fine, and we are making everyone aware to alleviate any potential concerns from seeing an ambulance at the school.
A parked and empty bus experienced a parking brake problem this morning and rolled into the woods. No one was around or injured, but we wanted everyone to be aware.
Earlier today BMS was on lockdown for about five minutes during an issue with an individual near campus. We had students remain indoors for a few minutes until the individual was taken into custody by law enforcement. Other campuses were not affected.
