FBLA has had many donations of yarn for our Knitting for Noggins project at Arkansas Children's Hospital. We would like to thank all who donated. With the yarn we have received, we are excited to be able to expand our project to the Hospital and local nursing homes. We will continue to keep you up to date with our project.

Student Council officers Layla Patrick and Rylee Mode present Mrs. Melissa Smith a goody bag and a Sonic drink for being named October Teacher of the Month! Mrs. Smith is a Resource teacher and was nominated by her co-workers.
Congratulations to the October Team Trivia Winners. The 2nd CAP winners were Landon Summerhill, Zack Cole, and Brayden Gray with 2,200 points! The 1st CAP winners were Nathan Buller, Hayden Griffis, Evan Estlinbaum, and Hannah Graham with 1800 points. All the winners received prizes!
Student Council member Garret Oliver and sophomore Kyle Vocque present Mrs. Jordan Turbeville with a goody bag and Sonic drink for being named September Teacher of the Month by her co-workers. Mrs. Turbeville teaches 10th grade English and AP Language.

Students participated in Friday Fun Day in the library during their CAP periods. The MakerSpaces included puzzles, robots, perler beads, and Oculus VR. #bxhslibrary
"A Netflix Original Homecoming" with each class dressing as their shows: 1st place seniors "Outer Banks", 2nd place juniors "All American", 3rd place sophomores "Stranger Things", and 4th place freshmen "Friday Night Lights."

The library held a Shredded Banned Book Contest (don't worry, it was an old discarded copy and we still have a good copy in the library). Several students guessed the correct book, Walk Two Moons, and the winners were Reece Rowland ($25 cash) and Kaley Osborn and Robert Lee won McDonald's gift cards. #bannedbooksweek
Congratulations to Connor Floyd! He found the silver Miner Man holding the banned book "Harry Potter" to celebrate Banned Books Week. Connor won a $10 Sonic Gift Card. #bannedbooksweek
The library held its first Trivia Team Games. The 1st CAP winners were Nathan Buller, Evan Estlinbaum, Hayden Griffis & Robert Scudder with 1800 points. The 2nd CAP winners were Ty Summerhill, Jonathan Woodall, Caleb Baker, & Braylon Liggan with 1700 points!
The following EAST (Education Accelerated by Service and Technology) students recently toured the Bauxite Museum to get a better understanding of the history of Bauxite.


Interim reports were mailed home last week to students that had D's or F's. This information can also be found in HAC.

2021 Homecoming Dress up Days

The Chess Club had their first meeting and are already competing!
Parent Night for Seniors is tonight beginning at 6:00 pm. We will discuss college admissions, financial aid, military recruiting, opportunities in the community and much more. We will meet in the auditorium at the high school. I hope that you will be able to join us.
