$4000 CASH GIVEAWAY!
Well, that's actually the amount to be awarded to two 2021 Bauxite graduates by way of scholarships given by two local groups. THE BAUXITE OLD TIMERS and THE BAUXITE CLASS OF '65 will each award a $2,000 scholarship to a deserving Class of '21 graduate. Requirements for the two scholarships are almost identical. Recipients must be 2021 Bauxite graduates, must have a minimum gpa of 2.0, and must complete and submit a simple two page application along with a transcript and three recommendation forms. The OLD TIMERS scholarship is available to graduates pursuing any degree in any field of study in any post secondary institution. The CLASS OF '65 scholarship is limited to graduates pursuing a two year degree or certificate in a "vo-tech" type program. This could include anything from nursing to plumbing to welding. Both applications are available in the Counselor's office and must be submitted by the deadline which has been extended to May 1, 2021. One additional note...it is of utmost importance that applicants read and follow directions carefully when making application for these scholarships.
