Student Council members Hannah Graham and Matthew Bainter deliver balloons, a Sonic drink, and a goody bag to Coach Russell Johnson, Civics/Economics teacher. Coach Johnson was nominated by his co-workers as the September Miner Teacher of the Month.
All juniors and seniors will take the Civics Exam on Wednesday, October 14th beginning 1st period. Unless you have gotten an email from Mrs. Mathys saying that you have ALREADY taken and passed the exam, you must take it. This is a graduation requirement, so all students must take it. Virtual students must be on campus to take the test. If you are unable to take the test on the 14th, you must email Mrs. Mathys at mathysb@bauxiteminers.org.
Fall Break-No School Friday, October 16 and Monday, October 19.
We will also have a Virtual Day on Tuesday, October 20.

Bauxite High School celebrated Banned Books last week. Congratulations to the winners of the Banned Books Trivia and Dead End Paper Maze Contest. They each won a $10 Sonic Gift Card. Winners: Ethan Matthews, Trinity Brasher, Coach Britt, Brigette Phillips, and Mrs. Sewell.

Flu shot Clinic 2020-
Flu shot forms are due today for on-site students! Flu shots will be given on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from
12:30 pm - 2:30 pm. at middle school (1st floor PD room).
All virtual HS/MA students wanting a flu shot will need to come during the above times. You must wear a mask when you enter the building. You will have to fill out the flu shot form on the Bauxite School District website, print it off and bring it with you. Look under documents on the website.
Your parent must sign it.

Juniors and seniors interested in taking the ASVAB need to sign up using the form posted in Class of 2021 and 2022 Google Classrooms. The ASVAB is free and will be given at school on October 27th. There is no virtual option for this test, so virtual students must come to school to take the test. Last day to sign up is October 15th.
ACT has extended the registration for October ACTs until October 5th.
